And getting back into the swing of things is tricky. See I've been on strict bed rest for one week but all restrictions were lifted yesterday as I began my 36th week and entered the "safe zone". So I jumped back into wrangling newly 2 year old daughter into diaper changes, bottles and tonight - bedtime! Que Da Da Da music!!!
It's been a non-stop battle that I've patiently overcome. I guess after a week of no discipline from mom she had to test every button.
She is happy with other sides of me. She likes it when I pick her up on command now and she's pulled me along for family walks.
I'm thrilled to get back into the swing of things. In celebration of my new found freedom I went to yoga class last night after my "restrictions" were lifted - it was wonderful to get back into stretching and breathing - so relaxing!! This morning I walked one mile and did a 1/2 hour of yoga. Spending more time with daughter without any restrictions of holding her has been awesome!!! And to cap it off - I cleaned my room!!! Yeah try staying in your bedroom for a week hating the dirty ceiling fan, glaring at the super dirty air filter, hating the carpet and gritting teeth over the sheets. I feel so much better now that it's all clean, now it matches the rest of our home which Mema has been keeping spectacularly clean!
I'm having contractions all day long but so inconsistently they don't count for much. Scary thing is I'm getting used to them. I'll be cooking dinner, giving Charlotte a bath, talking on the phone all while going through the lower abdomen contractions. I'm still on medication to prevent going into labor - don't know how reliable it is but seems to be working so far. I stop taking it on the 14th and then let's see what happens with my ramped up walking and yoga schedule!!! Hopefully the combination of exercise and stopping medication will mean having baby next week!!! I hope!!!
Yeah that was alot of !!! but I'm feeling pretty good tonight.

Yay for 36 weeks! Any time now!
So glad to hear things are good with you!
wow. glad you're cleaned and getting back into it. take it easy! can't wait to meet the little one!!
Rachel, I was on a medication with baby #3 to help prevent contractions (which I had from about month 4 1/2 or 5) and labor. I was on that med from about 6 months or so till week 37. I wondered when I would go into labor after going off of it. I found out that I could go into labor (water breaks) without having contractions because I had been trying to prevent them for so long. So, don't be surprised if you have no warning but you do go into labor. I am sure your doctor has already told you, get to the hospital when your water breaks, no matter what. I have heard of dry labor, and it's no fun! Anyhow, I went into labor at 37 weeks and three days.
SO glad that you made it to 36 weeks. Wishing and praying for the best for you and baby boy. Can't wait! Love you!
Glad you are getting in some Mommy and Charlotte time before baby arrives. She will need the affirmation and attention.
fantastic! great news! i'm waving for you all here! xx
Hoping that you are doing well this week and that you are closer to meeting your new addition - if you have not already!
