Cherry Scones
2 ½ cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 stick of butter
½ cup heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 cup cherries, halved and pits removed
Preheat oven to 400 and bake 18-20 minutes.
Brush the tops with 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream and
sprinkle with turbando.
Very crumbly, didn’t notice the cherry juice, might double
it next round and use less cream.
Would be great with cherry juice glaze.
