Walk with Him Wednesday: Compassion

I did it!  I finally balanced our budget so we could afford another Compassion child!  I selected a girl from Guatamala.  Why did I choose this country?  Because last week Ann Voskamp left a Twitter message saying there were 23 children who needed sponsors from this country.  There were 20 Saturday morning, 19 after I selected a girl.  I wish I could sponsor all of them but I'll keep crunching the numbers and maybe we can get a 3rd child some day.

How I did I crunch our budget?  Here's one way:

I have a huge fondness for Starbucks latte's and pumpkin muffins.  I think the price is around $5.00 for both.  If I get these once every weekend it's $20 per month.  Saturday I made 30 homemade pumpkin muffins!  That should last awhile!!  I also made a latte at home and we saved gas by staying home to make the muffins and my floors even got mopped!  I went outside to enjoy our balmy 60 degrees day and took cute photos of my kids.  Altogether a successful day for saving money and having fun with the kids!!
