I played hooky from church today

I hope God doesn't mind.

My relatives called and they slept in - don't think they really wanted to do the church thing - ha! Does anyone do church on vacation?

So far I've fed baby twice, gotten her down for first nap, done 3 loads of laundry, bills, cleaned the toilet, chased the Princess cat off the fridge and counters 5 times, placed big boxes on counters and fridge to block cat and made breakfast smoothie.

Sounds like a pretty busy day already.

I think you get bonus points for taking a kid under 5 to church even somewhat consistently. We try, but we definitely have weeks we fail.

Don't worry. God isn't in it for the "perfect attendance". He's in it for the perfect heart. If your heart is in it when you do go, that is important. If you are constantly thinking about leaving so you can spend more time with your company, what's the point in going? Just take some time within the next week to focus on him and regroup. Church will always be there. People aren't always here on earth. Spending time with loved ones (humans) is good. Although, don't get me wrong, I am not arguing the subject of whether to go or not. You should, but missing occasionally is not a sin.

Hi K - my 10mo old doesn't yet have the vocal skills to talk back and make independent decisions. Let's talk when she gets a little older!

Hi CWB - I was mostly kidding, I know I can miss church, it was a good move because Charlotte slept for 2 hours which let us take her out for the entire day. The power of a rejuvenating nap!
