Random Tuesday Thoughts

This fun blog hop brought to you by "The Un Mom", head over and check out her super cool graphics.

Dairy Group - Charlotte loves the Dairy group, she still drinks 5 bottles per day, loves cheddar cheese cubes, will tolerate cottage cheese and mozzarella sticks. This weekend she ran too fast and fell flat on her back and still popped a cheese cube in her mouth before crying! Which leads me to my next point –

Falling – I hate seeing my toddler fall flat on her back or forward. seriously this new running ability and daily falling is giving me ulcers!

Mistrust - Does anyone else mistrust their spouse when shopping and he tells you the thing you want is already home in the fridge and you buy it anyway because its buy one get one free and suddenly you have 3?

Ungrateful – My mom still teaches me things. This past week I had a mad craving for Iced Tea but being pregnant needed decaf so requested a large pack of Lipton decaf tea. I came home from work and husband proudly presented a beautiful green pitcher that dispenses the tea from fridge! He explained the entire process of how cold tea has less bacteria build up then sun tea and my only comment was “but now I can’t drink it because you didn’t make it with hot water like my mom does and it will take twice as long this way”. I sat next to mom and she says in a low voice, you know he went out to buy that especially for you. Queue shame.

Addled – I just love the dictionary definition of this word:

transitive verb : to throw into confusion : confoundintransitive verb 1 : to become rotten : spoil
2 : to become confused

I think that’s the perfect word to sum up pregnancy!

I always end up with 3 of the same thing, for that very reason.

3, I buy more than I probably should when it's on sale. If nothing else, I always have lots to add to our school's food drive at Christmas.
Mom's are smart. ;)

I hate to see my kids fall too. Before too long they are up and running while we are still sitting there stewing about what to do to get them to not fall.

I guess that is why hubby and I don't grocery shop together. Haven't done it together in years. Just isn't sensible in my hubby's eyes. Taking three kids out of the house while we semi-manage getting all the groceries, hopeful that we will leave with our nerves intact. So, he stays or I stay and the other goes.

It's so hard not to criticize. But, my mother would have nailed me too. Our Mikes are good men. And it's the little things that they do for us that get taken for granted. That spoke to me too. Thank your mom for me. :)

I never believe my husband if he says we have it because he can't keep track of anything, let alone what's in the kitchen.

Yeah - I "rebuy" the same things over and over and end up with something like 17 BBQ sauces.

I love that your husband was thinking about you when he bought the dispenser. Way sweet!

Happy Tuesday!
