Friday was my 2nd baby shower of the year and it was sponsored by my job!
The night before, following prenatal yoga class, I bought a new dress and sandals. Yes I'm supposed to be on a budget and saving all resources for baby but I've only got 2 dresses and both were bought around 20 weeks and not actual maternity so they are getting quite snug. I bought a proper brown simple maternity dress because I look fantastic in brown and hate flowered patterns (99% of the dresses in the store are flowered - yuck).
CEO's wife came at 3 and spent 2 hours setting up in the kitchen with food and drinks. Everyone got tipsy with wine and I had Pellegrino. There was an amazing hummus, I need to get that recipe, and a Raspberry chocolate cake (which I took some home!!!)
Baby got lots of cool presents and it was a lovely evening. My work family is great!

Wow! Two work baby showers? You are lucky. What was the difference between the two?
If you want to post a pic of your new dress, I will be sure to post compliments and add lots of wows and oohs and aahs. LOL! The other picture you posted was nice, but it didn't seem all that recent. Or, I am insanely jealous that you are that small!
No, the first baby shower was done by a church group I met with for 8 weeks earlier this year. They totally surprised me on the last day. It was really sweet.
As for the picture I posted, it was just a few weeks ago. Yes I really am that small but growing 1/2" every two weeks.
That is so not fair! LOL! I am now 38 1/2 inches around my belly button and I am two months behind you! I try to tell myself that this is your first and my third... I am more stretched out, etc., but it's still hard not being slightly jealous. I was always this way, though. I try believing that because I am so high-waisted the only place my babies have to go is out. I am still pretty thin everywhere else, but my belly is huge! Although I think my face is showing a little pregnancy weight gain too.
:(
Ha! I'm 38 1/2" around my belly button and I'm 2 months ahead of you. Shameless bragging!
Well, I am two kids ahead of you! Shame on ME for bragging! :D LOL! However, since you look so little and you are the same size as me (inch-wise), I guess that means that I shouldn't be so down. I guess I look that little too. I just don't feel it. Mabye another factor would be that we are taller than you and your hubby. ??
Everyone keeps saying how small I am but tell that to my aching back that screams with pain morning and night. Maybe I'm just standing & sitting wrong but can someone just tell me exactly how to stand/sit because I'll do just about anything at this point to not have constant back pain.
A few pointers: Don't cross your legs, put your feet up when you can. I would suggest a stool under your desk if you sit a lot at work. Also, you could try supporting your back with a small pillow when you sit. If you stand a lot, put one foot up on stool to relieve some pressure off one side. Switch as needed. Ask your doc about what stretching excersized you can do to eliviate some strain. Also, try not slouching. Are you supporting yourself with pillows at night? Lay on your side and place a pillow in between your knees to support hips, one under belly, one at your back, and another one anywhere else you need. I think they talk about this in "What To Expect When You Are Expecting". A body pillow is nice too, I hear. I found I got much better sleep when I started doing this with Preg. #1 and #2. I need to start doing this soon again. Not sure how hubby will get any sleep. He already takes 1/2 the bed up and I will take more than half by doing this. :P Oh, well. All in the name of baby!
