It's our 6th year celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day. Coincidentally, our oldest is 6 years old so we've managed to celebrate this as regularly as Christmas! I love going through the prior TLAPD photos and seeing how much the kids have grown.
This year we repeated the chocolate gold coin hunt in the back yard but with competitive kids, we had real tears and drama over who could get the most first! The oldest, with the most coins, had the biggest breakdown because someone reached a gold coin before her. The middle child got sad then happy after I helped him find the next coin. The youngest had the least coins and was the jolliest.
