All five kids are wonderful. The oldest two have been in missions, the oldest four are all very active in their youth group. All five have taken up at least one instrument and are great at it. The oldest plays the piano, some of them play the violin. At least one plays the cello, I think. They go to museums whenever they want for field trips. They meet at least once a month with other home schooled students for socialization. They are balanced, happy and well-rounded individuals.

I have kicked this idea around in my thoughts for years. I need to make a decision this year whether I think I can do it because my oldest is almost five.crazywildberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06970471452212336975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36796698.post-4243804028990142902009-02-11T17:37:00.000-05:002009-02-11T17:37:00.000-05:00the 'socialisation' issue comes up here often. i t...the 'socialisation' issue comes up here often. i think some people have the idea that home school means the kids never leave the home, whereas some homeschoolers are never at home!Grithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14022216340604423686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36796698.post-69306905808609708852009-02-10T02:45:00.000-05:002009-02-10T02:45:00.000-05:00oh yeah...homeschooled kids are all crack heads!!G...oh yeah...homeschooled kids are all crack heads!!

Groups don't like it when you take yourself out of them...it's probably partly that. Honestly I'm not set on homeschooling yet, I threw it out as more of a conversation piece but didn't expect to get such negative feedback.R. It's not my thing (at least I don't think so yet), but it certainly isn't a bad thing.

Do you think he's just afraid you'll quit your job to home school?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
