My Nemo promotion was for Procter and Gamble and it was 4 round Nemo characters in a vinyl bag. The toys were round plastic balls with a terry cloth skin for the material. They were really cute.

Your story is more interesting - I can totally see a group of executives anxiously standing around a room testing squirter's for quality assurance to satisfy a customer that wants maximum value for a $0.06 toy!!! It's great to hear they are still working 4 years later. Cool project!R. One of my abiding memories of the Nemo promo was sitting in a boardroom with the client, a bucket of water, an umbrella and 6 squirters, negotiating on what was acceptable in terms of numbers of squirts before refilling was required, and how far that squirt should go.

Happy times.

FYI, my boys now use those squirters in the bath - 4 years on they still work...Potty Mummyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04751869800592294891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36796698.post-7432506499428582082008-06-15T16:15:00.000-04:002008-06-15T16:15:00.000-04:00Ah the promo business, I recall your comment about...Ah the promo business, I recall your comment about working on the Nemo promotion. I've only worked a few promo deals, they are extremely competitive! Always unreasonable deadlines and massive stress, all so kids can enjoy a throw away toy! Tough business! You should see it from the factory side, I've visited a few factories in this trade and it's interesting to see the quality checks in place and massive piles of toys that cost less then $0.25 to make.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try milk tonight.R. The clients, the changes, the licensor, the delays, the shipping issues, the haggling over one cent... Sometimes it's good not to be working!

And have you tried drinking milk for the indigestion? It helped me out in both pregnancies.Potty Mummyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04751869800592294891noreply@blogger.com
