Working Mommy Wednesday

Welcome to another week of Working Mommy Wednesday, the prompts for this week were inspired by a mid-January article suggesting the 17th to be the most depressing day of the year.

1. What are you doing to stay positive in January?
2. Or what is bothering you this month, making it hard to stay positive?

Perhaps it's because I live in South Florida and get 250 days of sun but I don't find January to be depressing at all! It's the beginning of a new year, resolutions are still fresh and the weather outside is fantastic. Okay so I may live in paradise but there are other factors keeping me in a good mood:

1. I'm working on a new project that has me super jazzed. I personally get a ton of positive energy from working on exciting projects. It just seeps into every pore and I find myself constantly mulling over ideas and content.

2. I'm in the last trimester of pregnancy - lots of happy hormones keeping me positive and I've had a relatively easy pregnancy so I'm not uncomfortable at all.

3. Happy kids and happy dad at home, they are in a good routine with food, chores and playtime so our home life hums along at a happy pace. Yes there are still the daily hiccups like late dinners, Sam standing on the coffee table and getting in trouble or both kids refusing lunch but these are small things, overall they are good happy kids.

I'd love to hear your tips on how to stay positive during winter. Please link up below with your ideas. And even if you are not feeling so positive I'd love to know so I can pray for you!

Have a blessed day.

I don't have enough tips to write an entire blog post but I'm trying stay positive by making sure take, if nothing else, at least a short walk every day- which usually happens over my lunch hour. It's fabulous! I also have a list someone gave me called, "The Best of my Days". It has a spot where you can write down something positive that happens to you every day.

I missed WMW this week! One way I keep it positive is to rememeber that some days are good and some are not so good... that's ok. I also like talking with my son each night about what was a "good" thing about today which usually sparks a conversation. A short walk as mentioned by Angie is a way I get a little break, too... it helps so much!

I only just learned about this awesome sharing hop, but in my latest post I talk about what is bothering me this month - trying to plan the Babby's birthday party as a working mom. It's my first year doing it, and it makes the whole mess feel like just more work instead of something fun to cherish. And people then telling me I'm selfish for working, grrrr.

Welcome Christa! I just visited your blog and the birthday ideas are lovely. You are not selfish for working, don't listen to negative people!
