Random Tuesday Thoughts

Welcome to Random Tuesday, a fun blog hop brought to you by "The Un Mom", head over and check out her super cool graphics.

- Random thoughts about the weather and other stuff -

Well we finally got our first 35 degree night - you may all laugh heartily since I only have one other South Florida reader who will genuinely commiserate with my pain. But seriously I get more concerned about the poor iguana's falling from the trees because when it get's this cold they fall asleep and drop like flies. If it stays cold too long, they die but fortunately it's going up to 57 today so they should be okay.

I just looked up "drop like flies" and can't find the origin of this phrase. No wonder English is so hard to teach.
Random stuff my husband says, "Let's go atom smashing!", and "oh look my jelly went back to normal."

When our daughter was born, husband came home with a stack of little pink towels and proudly called them “hers”. She stopped needing them for reflux a long time ago and now they clean up her messes like purple crayon scribbled all over the big screen plasma TV.

Speaking of my precious daughter, here she is sleeping somewhere other than her bed, with a toy she stole from her brother's crib.

Oh yeah, we are going through the "mine, mine, mine" stage.

I don't remember getting temps that low when I was growing up in Hollywood, Florida. But up here in the capital, it is FREEZING!

That is quite possibly the cutest picture I've seen in weeks!

Over from RTT and that is such a cute picture! And I can commiserate with the crayons on the TV. But not with the weather! I'm in Kansas and we've been in the teens and twenties lately!

Bruiser is going through a mine stage--the first of many I'm sure. It's fun to deal with toddlers.

Iguanas dropping from trees is an amusing sight to imagine. We just had our first snow day of the school year!

I live in western PA and we have been having snow since Dec. 1. To date, we have had two 2-hour delays and three cancellations for school. Today the temperature is in the low teens with a sub-zero wind chill factor. I am not sure what sub-zero means, but if I were to take a guess, it would be, so cold it could freeze the tushy off an iguana.

Don't all kids go through the mine, mine, mine stage around two? My little lady isn't talking yet, but she whines a lot when someone takes a toy that she "knows" is hers.
