Working Mom Wednesday

Linking to Work, Wife,Mom...Life! for Working Mommy Wednesday. For this week the discussion is:

#1. Birth stories! {I loved giving birth and love hearing other birth stories... share one of yours!}

I've delivered both my children without any pain medication, no epidural, all natural! Here are their stories:
#2. Do you have your own bank account or do you share with your spouse? (If you have your own, why?)

My spouse and I do share a bank account. I do all the bills and he trusts me to live within our paychecks every month. We pay off our credit card bills monthly. We make all major decisions together and ultimately I let him take the lead in these decisions.

#3 - my addition - Return to work
I'm back to work this week and it hurts! Its like exhaustion from the prior 3 weeks of missing sleep has hit me all at once! My neck hurts and I feel like I've been in a train wreak - in summary it's the worst form of jet lag! I know how that feels, been to Asia and back 6+ times. When I was contemplating my return last week I felt fine. It's too late to push off my return to work now, I'm already back for 2 days. Just need to find a way to get more sleep!!!

Hope you (and your body) can adjust to being back to work soon! It will get better!

Oh boy. I hope you make the transition smoothly!

I am easing myself back to work...three days this week and full time next week. It's hard...on everyone. I love your jet lag example, that's exactly what it feels like!

He's a month old tomorrow. I've used up all my sick days and vacation days.

Read my birth stories anytime at my blog. Haven't been able to figure out to add links yet.

I can't believe you are back to work already either, but if there isn't any more vacation or sick days, what can you do? I do hope, however, that you are working from home most days.

yeah I'm home this week, still not capable of managing make up, packed lunch, packed breast pump equipment, etc for a day at the office!

I am so impressed with your natural deliveries! Two of my sisters did the same. They tried to convince me, but i'm a wimp.

Just read your comment over at a Working Mom's Rant about stopping at Barnes and Noble...that killed me. Too funny.

Off to read the full length stories here!

Visiting from Working Mommy Wednesday.
Wow! I feel for you! My girls are 10 and 12 now, but I still remember how it felt to leave them for work... Now, they're grumpy in the mornings and I can't wait to drop them off at school!!!
(does that make me a bad mom?)
I hope you're blessed with an easy first week back.

wow, that passed quick. how does this time thing work? i haven't got that sorted yet. did you receive the playbags? i'm having a fear that something bad happened, like they got confiscated by customs: one of them possesses a fabric lemon.

R. Molder said...

Yes Grit I got them! I've been meaning to write to you directly but haven't been on my home computer lately! They are AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much!

Wow! That's so fast to be back at work. I hope you adjust to things okay soon and that you, family and new baby are all doing well!

And seeing the topic from Wednesday I'm sorry I missed this week's WMW! That's my kind of topic - the finance one - it's a subject I've given a lot of thought to. Hubby and I have a joint savings, but separate checking accounts. I pay all the bills and he transfers me money for his "share" - which we work out together when we budget. It's a hangover from before we were married and we never bothered to change it because it worked for us. But I always wonder if we should be doing it differently.

All the best!
