Random Tuesday Thoughts

randomtuesday

This fun blog hop brought to you by "The Un Mom", head over and check out her super cool graphics.

Pregnancy brain has finally caught up with me, I've forgotten my pin number to my ATM card, something I've used several times a week for several years. Fortunately being pregnant allows me a certain level of trust so no cashier has tried to confiscate my card after repeated attempts at guessing the number. It takes 10 days to get a new pin, I'm going to keep trying until I get it right. I think they changed the keypad at Publix and that is likely the source of my confusion. It's pattern recognition, I just need to find the right key pad to remember the pattern!

Bed Rail - I finally bought a bed rail for daughter's toddler bed. After 3 months of her rolling onto the floor throughout the night and me getting up 5 times a night for potty breaks and putting her back in at least once a night I can now go all night without opening the door to check on her. The last straw was the two recent times we put her back in bed at 4:30 and she'd had sufficient sleep to refuse a return to the bed and demanded cuddle time. Too much, I can't stop sleeping 2 hours before I'm supposed to wake up!

Walking - My nurse friend has noticed my belly has dropped really low and she's ordered me to stop walking 2 miles a day. I'm despondent and in my despair I've turned to cleaning and making lists for other people to do things. Fortunately my mom is here and is doing all the dishes and laundry in sight leaving me to plan bigger projects for husband. Today I've requested a mini desk for our bedroom so I can loll around on the computer all night long when baby boy gets here and I'm tending to him - in theory we will have guests staying in our living room which is connected to the current office.

Crayons - may be the greatest gift grandma can bring. Since mom has arrived, Charlotte has done over 10 masterpieces each with increasingly advanced swirls.

Heat - you know how up north you guys stay inside during the winter? We do that when it hits the 90's and humidity is 100%. I took mom and daughter to Deerfield Beach Island for a one hour trip to the island complete with boat ride; 30 minutes on the island and we were all exhausted from the heat while IN THE SHADE!!! Check out these pink cheeks and wet hair.

I'm done going outside for the remainder of this pregnancy - at least during the hours of 9am - 5pm.

Reminds me of whenever I lock my stuff up at the gym. I have to write the combination on my checkbook so that I can quickly memorize it one more time while I work out. I pray that I don't forget it and am stuck.

Happy RTT!

My pregnancy brain never seemed to go away. I refuse to think it's because I'm getting older. ;)

Bed Rails are miracle inventions for toddler's, aren't they?

I love that your mom is helping out with the basic chores so you can have time to plan bigger projects for your hubby...hilarious!

It's been unbelievably hot up here, too. Heat and humidity are not my friends. Air conditioning totally is.

ADORABLE pink cheeks and wet hair! :)

Love Charlotte's little dress! I am almost recovered from Mommy brain, but sometimes it creeps up on me. Usually when I am talking to my smart, business women, no-kid friends. Lucky for me! :P So, there is hope. Just not entirely. LOL!

I love that it is summer now. I just wish the heat would stay and the humidity would GO! And at 7 1/2 months pregnant, you have the right to "not do" (for lack of better word: Mommy Brain!!!) all outside activities. Getting to work in that heat is enough of a hurdle, I can imagine. I was there a time or two!

Funny that one of the things you can forget is the one thing you use so very often.
I'm not sure how you are handling the heat and humidity...and being pregnant. Wow! As hard as it may be, being forced to stop your walks right now may not be a bad thing.
Take care.
