Charlotte's Revenge

Friday, husband called me at the office around lunchtime to say he had managed to get Charlotte in the truck for a drive and was in the area. Of course I invited him to visit the office so everyone could meet my baby.

He arrived with a drowsy baby and as everyone gathered around she started waking up. We took her to boss's office to show off and just as we were discussing who she most looks like, I feel a warm goo shoot out of her diaper and in total alarm see it squirt onto the floor in 5 or 6 locations.

Charlotte's revenge for mom going back to work early is served.

Don't tell me it went in the fax machine!
Seriously, though, your daughter is beautiful and, apparently, wise beyond her years (okay, weeks.)
I'm so curious what my own wife will do, go back to work, stay home, she doesn't know either. Either way, it's really a beautiful thing, isn't it?

Thank you!!!

I think your wife will want to stay home. A certain panic sets in when you consider strangers caring for your child, but it happens more after the birth. You spend a few weeks with her, learn her routine and then worry others might let her cry too long or not be able to translate her cries.

that is the most excellent revenge strategy. and you can only get away with that tactic when you are that age...

At least it was in the boss's office and not on your own desk.

Of course! The boss's office is a much more appropriate location.

Actually, it wasn't revenge on you, but on your boss for his previous comments and questions about whether you can handle 'two jobs'... Way to go, Charlotte!

Ah Potty, you caught my underlining statement! I can honestly say I've never laughed so hard in my life, still laughing in fact.
