Setting up babies room

Everything must be moved out of the spare bedroom and a new location found. It's like moving - but with a different deadline in mind.

Items found:
- ledger from 2002, full tank of gas cost $15.51, now cost $45.81 for SAME TRUCK!
- bag of cards intended for mother's day, father's day, etc can now be moved to proper stationary drawer.
- box of slippers husband bought for my 2006 birthday in the wrong size (he swore he returned them for the bigger size and when they didn't arrive, we assumed they were lost in the mail)

The list goes on and on.

I now have a giant pile of things in the room for donation and I'm trying to build a give away pile that is bigger then the baby shower gifts sitting next to the front door.

When Danielle was coming and Michael was almost two, we moved our master bedroom from the third floor down to the second floor. It was quite the undertaking. We switched the computer room with our room. It made much more sense since I nurse my kids and I really didn't want to break my leg in the middle of the night on the stairs. Now, not only is the computer upstairs, but the guest bedroom, plus my scrapbooking, sewing and art tables too. And tons of clutter. I have to get that cleaned up! Someday. Well, sounds like you are making some headway! Good for you!

Wow up and down stairs while pregnant is definitely an accomplishment.

The key thing to note is you have a massive house with room to stuff things and "deal with them later". I have a 2 bedroom condo so every single thing must be pondered over.

Oh and one more thing I found; an extra wireless headset husband bought before realizing our phones came with such and he was supposed to return it and didn't. I'm sensing a trend here.

We have a whole basement full of things like that. Hubby had an old car, then had to shop at the junk yard for car parts because they don't make 30 year old car parts anymore. Even the current nuts and bolts didn't fit. So he had to find an old car of similar make and model to steal those off of too. Now that that car has been sold, we have a basement with boxes and boxes of that stuff in it. I am sure we have an old quarter panel or two and other big items. He wants to sell them but who has the time to go through it all and sort it all out? However, it drives me a little crazy and I wish it would go, but I realize there is a lot of money to be made by selling it. Someday, I am hoping that he gets to it and we can have a basement for once. LOL! And he buys more computer stuff than we need, so we have boxes of that stuff on the third floor too. Very frustrating, but what do you do?

Oh, and just becasue we HAVE the space to "stuff things and 'deal with them later'" doesn't mean that we should do that. Maybe we have too much space for our own good. :P

I just had a laughing fit and had to stop reading before launching self into early labor! Husband has garage full of bikes from a mission to build the perfect set of work bikes & exercise bikes but got stuck somewhere between collecting parts and not having time to finish them. On last count there were 5-6 bikes in a row all beside scooter that no longer works. There are also boxes and boxes full of computer parts for a possible future robot that I wish would just make itself and finish all the bikes!!!

I knew that your hubby was into bikes, but I didn't know he was that simular to my hubby that he had a stash of his favorite means of transportation. My darling dear has been thinking lately of buying another project car to tinker with but I think I will suggest that he gets rid of some unnecessary stuff before he opens shop for another vehicle like that again.
